What we collect

CodeZA has no accounts and no forms, and we do not ask for your name, email or phone number. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are used; it records pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location and how you arrived, using cookies. We do not send Google Analytics anything that identifies you by name.

Advertising

We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads at Google Ad Settings, and read how Google uses data at policies.google.com.

Saved lookups and location

The “Save” button and your recent lookups are stored only in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to us. If you use “Use my location”, your browser asks for permission first and the nearest town is worked out on your device; your location is not sent to us.

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you may ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. Email [email protected].
