African Bank agreed to buy Sasfin Bank's Capital Equipment Finance and Commercial Property Finance businesses: heads of agreement 13 October 2023, comprehensive agreements concluded 16 and 22 February 2024. A further SENS on regulatory approvals is dated 6 August 2024 but its text could not be read, so the completion date is not verified. Source

Sasfin Bank no longer exists as a bank. It relinquished its banking licence to the SARB on 30 June 2026 (gazetted 17 July 2026) and will be renamed Sasfin (Pty) Ltd. Do not use the old branch code or SWIFT code. Former customers should contact [email protected]; unclaimed funds were transferred to OM Bank. Source

Unclaimed Sasfin Bank funds were transferred to OM Bank, so a former Sasfin client whose money was not moved now deals with OM Bank (0860 66 22 65) for those funds. Source
